Family Rules Adaptation

The sayings presented in Family Rules were adapted from an 1864 sampler. The original sampler has been reproduced along with 2 variations, one more religious than the other. These familiar sayings go back farther than you expect. A little history about the sayings you will be stitching is included in the chart. The original unnamed stitcher thought her rules deserved a place on the wall where her family would observe them and we do too. Any one of these three designs is worth a place on your wall today. The thoughts and sayings are just a true today as they were in 1864.
