Parker motto We Mourn Our Loss #121.

A mourning motto with a place to display a photograph of the departed one was part of the design. During the 1870-1880s it was popular to use perforated paper for making picture frames because the paper could be easily cut and it held it's shape. The printed mourning mottoes often had a option to include a photograph as part of the design. For this design the paper could be cut away or the photograph glued into the paper.
