This sampler features two different sizes of perforated paper. The inside 24 hole paper where the verse is stitched is 6.75" high X 7" wide. The actual area of the verse is 6" wide X 5.5" high. At some point the outside border with the paper leaves was added. This outside addition, made with 16 hole paper, is 2.5" wide. The two sizes of paper and the border piece with the glued on paper leaves, are an interesting combination. The verse was stitched with silk thread. The border design on the 16 hole paper was stitched with wool thread.
